<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>I come from a medical background having previously worked as a doctor for 10 years.<\/span><\/p>\nIn 2007, I began my counselling training as I always was interested\u00a0in helping\u00a0people and\u00a0being there\u00a0for them. I trained as a Person-Centred counsellor (PG diploma).\u00a0In 2012,\u00a0I had my Post graduate diploma in counselling and my\u00a0work\u00a0has been\u00a0with individuals from diverse cultures and having different issues.\u00a0I am bilingual and work with clients in English and Arabic.<\/p>\n
I am very enthusiastic about working with couples and individuals<\/span>. In 2013, I joined Marriage Care as a volunteer couple counsellor and I started the Emotional Focused Couple Therapy Certificate (EFT). Since then, I\u00a0help<\/span>\u00a0couples to\u00a0understand challenges they\u00a0face and ways to deal with those challenges<\/span>. I find it very rewarding when people work on their relationships either couples or individuals.<\/p>\nIn 2015, I became interested to work with children and young, so I did the Place to be training and started the Volunteer work In Place2Be for one academic year, I worked with children in Secondary schools with different issues, I decided to do Specialist Diploma of counselling children and youth.<\/span><\/p>\nIn 2016, I became a Registered MBACP Accredited Counsellor\/Psychotherapist. <\/span>In 2019, I became a BACP Senior Accredited Member.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\nI finished my supervision diploma in 2018, which gave me another dimension in looking at my work. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\nI trained as a trainer through my volunteering place, where I developed and delivered different training for Marriage care.<\/p>\n
At time of Covid, I decided to move my work online and I did a <\/span>Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling so I could work online professionally.<\/p>\nThrough my work, it was interesting to work with Clients who came from a background of abuse, trauma, difficult relationships or childhood.\u00a0 <\/span>I wanted to know more, so I started to do more training about Trauma Therapy:<\/p>\n\n- Diploma in Trauma Therapy in 2021<\/li>\n
